Here are common thoughts for each of the 7 stages and a practical tip for moving through them in waves:

↳Tip: Give yourself permission to pause. No next step needed yet.

2️⃣ Denial – “They’ll call me back… or maybe I should go back?”
↳Tip: Anchor into what’s true now—not what you hope will change.

3️⃣ Anger – “I gave them everything. How could they let me go?”
↳Tip: Write it all down. Vent on paper. Then release it.

4️⃣ Bargaining – “If I had just stayed later, worked harder…”
↳Tip: Interrupt the guilt loop. The system failed you—not the other way around.

5️⃣ Depression – “I feel untethered. What am I supposed to do now?”
↳Tip: Don’t isolate. Share what you’re going through with one safe person.

6️⃣ Reconstruction – “Okay… if I’m rebuilding, what do I actually want?”
↳Tip: Get curious—not just strategic. Explore without needing the answer right away.

7️⃣ Acceptance – “This happened AND I’m still worthy and capable.”
↳ Tip: Celebrate how far you’ve come – even in the quiet.

You may not go through them in order—but you will move through them.
